Mennonite Church
Central District Conference
We are part of Central District Conference, a conference within Mennonite Church USA.
Supportive Communities Network
We are a part of the Supportive Communities Network of the Brethren Mennonite Council for Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender Interests, a network of Mennonite and Church of the Brethren communities that welcome and affirm the full participation and leadership of LGBTQIA+ people. BMC has worked for 50+ years cultivating and celebrating queer Anabaptist resilience and resistance.
Mennonite Organizations We Support
Mennonite Mission Network
Mennonite Mission Network works to lead, mobilize, and equip the church in holistic witness to Jesus Christ. MMN is the mission agency of Mennonite Church USA. We have supported a member of CHMF who served as the leader of the Service Adventure unit in Anchorage, Alaska.
Mennonite Central Committee
For over 100 years, Mennonite Central Committee has shared God's love and compassion through relief, development and peace. Members of CHMF have served abroad and in the US with MCC. We regularly send a group in the summer to do construction projects with MCC Appalachia Build, a home repair ministry in eastern Kentucky and West Virginia.
Mennonite Action
Mennonite Action is a bold new movement of Mennonites taking public action for a free Palestine and the liberation of all God's children. We've been a part of the local NC Mennonite Action Triangle chapter, advocating for peace.
Mennonite Disaster Service
Mennonite Disaster Service responds with Christian love in the aftermath of disaster. CHMF has regularly sent volunteers to participate with MDS in repair and rebuilding.
Everence
Everence, formerly Mennonite Mutual Aid, serves as a resource for Anabaptist congregations and individual members to steward finances in faithful and just ways.
Local Community Partners
Interfaith Council for Social Service
Interfaith Council for Social Service responds to the effects of poverty in the local Chapel Hill community, working to meet peoples' basic needs of food, housing, and other resources.
Open Table Ministry
Open Table Ministry walks alongside people experiencing homelessness in Durham by providing shelter and long-term support.
